Experimental Mod Collection

Unfinished mods. May or may not work on them further. If I do, I'll archive the file here and make it its own page. These are very experimental, some unplayable unless you're nuts (third person views are under this category). I might add more, I have other unfinished projects for this game..

• []Third Person View Attempt 1 - Replaces male first person arms with an unused full body mesh of a man (I chose it since he has a head attached, unlike the other body/outfit meshes). You have to be a male character (I could make it for female characters too but it's so busted I don't see much point. and it'd only be this male body, there is no full female body in the game), you must not wear armor (headwear is fine), and you have to have a weapon out to see yourself (not just equipped but out). Collision is weird, animations are not all there (he crouches, jumps, and has idle animations. No walking, no combat animations or anything else). Melee combat does not work at all, guns fire but you don't see him aiming. Easiest to see what you're shooting at when crouching. NPCs don't really attack you, meaning they become aggressive but can't hit you (you're not immortal, I guess it's due to the collision issues?? They can't see you properly.). Aiming in general is messed up, you can't look up or down, so good luck picking up items or opening doors or starting conversations. You will appear normal in inventory screens and idle camera. He is wearing underwear and the texture flashes for some reason (I attempted to fix it by editing the texture) and he's a ken doll under there but to be safe I'm tagging this mod as containing skimpy outfits. This also edits the indianaplayercharacter_bp in order to pull the camera back so it's incompatible with Unlimited Flaws. Basically unplayable.

• []Third Person View Attempt 2, Sprat - Replaces first person arms with sprat mesh. :) Similar to attempt 1 but easier to ignore issues because you're a sprat lol. Collision is weird, animations are not all there (he walks and jumps. No combat animations or any others.) Melee combat does not work, guns fire. He is holding the weapons but they're inside his head. Aiming in general is even worse than the human mesh since you're low to the ground, so interacting with stuff including items, locks/computers, starting conversations, and opening doors are all very difficult, sometimes impossible. Same as the human version - you must not wear armor, you must be male, you must have a weapon out. You will appear like a human in the inventory screens. This also edits the indianaplayercharacter_bp in order to pull the camera back so it's incompatible with Unlimited Flaws. Two versions of this one - The first puts the camera behind and up so you can see the whole sprat. The second one places the camera beneath the sprat. Sort of like it's similar to first person view but you're a sprat. The second one allows a solution for getting stuck which is to put armor on. You're body is not visible but it moves the camera so you can open doors and such. This doesn't work as well for the first sprat version or the human third person because of their camera positions. Basically unplayable. But it's cute?

• Everyone Has Parvati's Head - Replaces every head with Parvati's head. Main issues with this are horrific texture problems and some hair mesh clipping. I couldn't figure out why but some characters get transparent faces, have their eyes and teeth textures swapped, etc. It's scary. The hair meshes clipping with heads is nothing compared to Sanjar's teeth in his eyes. Everyone looks like a baby, an old anime man, or a nightmare. Except Parvati who is lovely as always.

  Please ask about these if you're curious. I can explain how I made them if anyone wants to know. I'm putting them here despite their incredible problems for two reasons - one, I may never get them working properly and someone may want to take up the mantle. :) And two, I want interaction and feedback heh, especially if I decide to work on them again.. I don't mean it as clickbait though and I can't stress enough that these have many problems, mainly the TPVs. Back up your saves or use a save you don't care about if you use them. You will almost certainly get stuck somewhere. I doubt anyone would be playing for long with those anyway but a disclaimer just in case.

  Place the pak files in your Paks folder - TheOuterWorlds\Indiana\Content\Paks. For the TPVs, each one has TWO paks and you need both of them.
