Character design takes heavy inspiration from T7 Season 1, T5DR, T6BR, and TTT2. String bloat, power creep, and overly high move coverage, especially from live-service T7, are cut back to reinforce identity. Underused moves gain utility that fits each character’s style and intent. Balance is driven by design, not the other way around. Disclaimer, this is not meant to be “fair” in a traditional sense. Characters are extremely strong at what they are meant to do. Jin’s db+4 will hurt. Kazuya’s Electric will hurt.
Rage Moves such as Rage Arts, Rage Drives, and Devil Transformation (in case of Kazuya) are no longer tied to Rage. Instead, they are part of a new system called the Special Move System.
This system is highly experimental and shifts the feel of the game. It almost turns Tekken into a horror game. Each character has multiple special moves, but they are no longer strictly comeback tools. They are available at any time, with one key restriction. You can only use one special move per match. Not per round, per match. This can either feel insignificant or create some of the tensest moments possible. There is constant uncertainty around whether your opponent will commit to a Special Art or a Special Drive or simply hold the threat. Another addition is not exactly a new mechanic, but a formal category called Blue Spark Moves. These moves are gatekept by execution or difficulty. Standard blue spark moves have no voice lines, but just-frame versions trigger the announcer to call out “GREAT”.

For Tekken 7 players who love theorycrafting and want to test a new gameplay philosophy. If you're tired of the same old meta and want to see how pressure-focused design feels, this is your jam. Skip if you want a polished, fully-featured mod—this is a proof of concept, not a finished product.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a proof of concept, back up your original game files before installing—you'll want to revert if it breaks something.
