Pallet Delivery

The truck needs the road, and the pallets need the kerb. It drives in from the cross street at the Shop C end, up the street past the shop, and reverses onto the delivery zone by the kerb in front of Shop B. Anything you have standing out there - shelves, tables, boxes, decorations, anything on the road or on that stretch of pavement - is in the way: the truck cannot get in and the boxes have nowhere to land.

Move it inside before your first order. Short of room? Shop C gives you a whole third shop and Upstairs two more floors over the main shop - plenty of space for everything that used to live on the street.

Pallet Delivery replaces the heap of boxes at the delivery spot with a proper delivery.

You order in the shop app as always. When you close the phone, a box truck comes round the corner, drives up the street, swings in and backs onto a painted delivery zone on the road in front of your shop. The door rolls up and your boxes come out one by one onto wooden pallets, stacked in a neat grid — item boxes, small boxes, furniture crates and graded-card returns each on their own pallet. When the last box is out, the door comes down and the truck drives off.

Order more while it is away and the next truck brings it.

  []A delivery always arrives: the truck waits a moment for anyone standing in its lane and then drives on, and a watchdog puts the load straight onto the pallets if the truck ever gets stuck[/]

  1. Order — Buy in the shop app. Everything you buy before closing the phone rides together.

  2. The truck comes — It appears at the corner already rolling, drives up the lane clear of the zone, swings in and reverses onto the spot. It brakes for customers and workers in its way.

  3. Unloading — The door rolls up, the hazards blink, and the boxes glide out of the cargo onto the pallets, nearest row first.

  4. Off it goes — Door down, out into the lane, up to the junction and away. Order again and it comes back.
