Better SFX

I love this game but the SFX leave a lot to be desired.

So I tried fixing that!

So far I've made two mods in this pack.

  Better Zombie SFX

  Better Ambience

  Better Zombie SFX replaces some of the zombie SFX to sound more consistent and overall more creepy.

  This includes the zombie death SFX that sounded like a big ape grunting..!

  & the zombie screamer SFX that were insanely loud!

  It also enhances other SFX that are pretty good on their own, but had the volume lowered so much it was hard to hear them in-game.

  Better Ambience adds the sounds of people chatting, fireplaces burning and other little nuances to make the safe zones feel more vibrant and alive.

  Due to how the game handles the SFX assets there's a slight pause when entering a safe zone before the SFX kicks in, and when the SFX ends it fades out and then in again as it loops. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that but I still think this sounds way better and more immersive than the dead silence in vanilla. ;D

  Installation

  Install the mod(s) by extracting the contents of the file(s) into the main folder of SurrounDead.
