📋 About This Mod
Adds a custom intro after the engine logo, set up in a text file. Also useful for mod authors.
Custom Intro
Your own opening, right after the engine logo.
The game boots straight into the main menu. Custom Intro puts your logo in between: it fades up out of the white that the startup screen ends on, plays, and hands the menu over. Done well, it reads as if the game always opened that way.
What plays is entirely yours. You describe it in a text file, drop your images in a folder, and the mod runs it. Nothing is hardcoded.

New versions land there first, with the changelog. It is also where test builds go out before they reach Nexus, and where bug reports get answered - there is a forum with a tag per mod. It is also the best place to show the intro you built.
The whole thing, in six lines
Put your PNG in Images, then write this in intro.jsonc:
"layers": [
{ "image": "my-logo.png", "preset": "approach" }
That is a complete, working intro. Everything else has a sensible default: white fading to near-black, centred, 80% of the screen height, four seconds, and the logo drifting towards you as it fades out.
From there you go as far as you want. Or you don't - plenty of people will only ever swap the image, and that is a perfectly good use of this mod.
What you can build
-
[]As many layers as you need. Images and text lines, each with its own timing, so one logo can follow another, or a caption can rise under your mark.[/]
[]Seven ready-made animations. approach, fade, rise, drop, slide-left, slide-right and pulse. Name one and set how long it takes.[/]
[]Or write the movement yourself. Keyframes on opacity, scale, x, y and rotation, with four easings. Presets and hand-written keyframes mix: keep a preset's movement and take over just the fading.[/]
[]Nine anchor points plus a free offset, so a mark can sit in a corner while the main logo plays in the middle.[/]
[]One file, many colours. "silhouette" throws away your artwork's colours and keeps only the shape, painted in whatever colour you ask for. One PNG becomes a white cutout, a green one, a grey one - no extra files.[/]
[]Sound. A WAV, with its own volume and start time, routed through the game's own mixer so it follows your volume settings.[/]
[]Full background control. Which colour it starts on, which colour it settles into, and exactly when it clears to reveal the menu.[/]
Everything is measured as a fraction of the screen, never in pixels, so the same intro composes identically on a laptop, an ultrawide and a 4K TV.
