📋 About This Mod
IMPORTANT! This mod uses BepInEx (Below Zero) and Nautilus (Below Zero). You must install these to use this mod. The mod supports Vortex, but you must use the latest version of Vortext and the Subnautica Below Zero Support extension. Just unzip the mod into <gamefolder>\BepInEx\plugins, or let Vortex do it's thing.
VERY IMPORTANT! This is still a largely “experimental” preview version of the mod. There will be some bugs and the pathfinding is not quite optimised, and the Autopilot method is still prone to getting "stuck". Please report any bugs, issues or suggestions via the "Posts" tab.
Seatruck Dock Recall BZ
Lost your Seatruck? Can’t be bothered swimming out in the cold, dark ocean from the comfort of your base? Well, we’re here to help!
With Seatruck Dock Recall, you can recall the nearest SeaTruck back to any Seatruck Dock base module, direct from the Seatruck Dock console.
Features:
-
[]Works through the existing console attached to any Seatruck Dock base module.
[
]Recalls the closest SeaTruck within a configurable range.[]Two recall methods are available:
[]Autopilot - using a grid-based navigation and pathfinding system, the Seatruck will attempt to drive itself all the way back to dock. This is the "lore-friendly" approach, though it has some limitations (see below).
[]Teleport - a bit of a cheat, the Seatruck is magically transported to the end of the dock, after which it will drive itself in.
[]Range and accuracy of autopilot navigation, as well as the recall method, can be configured in the mod options.
Known Issues
-
[]Limited pathfinding, so there's a chance the Seatruck will get stuck while navigating home.
[]Sometime the autopilot will spin the Seatruck out of control. It often corrects itself, but sometimes will get stuck.
[]Grid generation can only account for objects and terrain spawned at a point in time. So longer ranges often result in failed pathfinding, as chunks of terrain and obstacles are not spawned.
[]The grid generation and pathfinding algorithms are pretty quick, but huge ranges/small cell distances could still cause a bit of slowdown.
[]The Autopilot will navigate to a point around 20m from the end of the dock tube. This must be clear of obstacles, or the Seatruck will get stuck.
