Tabitha Hallow

Tabitha Hallow Nobody quite knows where Tabitha came from before the crash. She doesn't talk about it, and the few times anyone has pressed, she smiled in a way that made them wish they hadn't asked. What the colony does know is this: when the escape pod hatch cracked open, she stepped out already calm, already looking around like she was taking inventory of a world she half-recognized. She keeps to the edge of the settlement, where the light from the base camp barely reaches. Her shelter is cluttered with dried herbs hung in bundles, jars of murky liquids, and bone fragments she insists have purposes. She talks to the plants before harvesting them-not in a whimsical way, but low and serious, as though bargaining. The other survivors have noticed that crops she tends grow faster, and the alien creatures seem less aggressive in her presence. They've also noticed that sometimes, when she's working late, moths circle her lantern in patterns that look deliberate. She's harmless. Probably.
