📋 About This Mod

ComboOverlay is a transparent, always-on-top HUD for Stellar Blade. It reads your controller directly (works even while the game has focus) and filters the combo list live as you press buttons, just like the in-game Training panel. Includes

Why this exists

ComboOverlay was born to go hand-in-hand with Scarlet - Fusion - Tachy - Eve Combo Moveset Skills by jpabscale — a moveset mod that packs 30+ combos into Eve's kit. With that many sequences to remember, an in-game trainer that only works in a menu isn't enough, so this overlay puts the full combo list on screen while you actually fight. The built-in Scarlet and Fusion movesets here are based directly on that mod's combos, so if you run it, the overlay is already set up for you. (A third, bonus FF16 / Clive moveset is included too, but heads-up: it's still experimental and fairly inaccurate right now — consider it a work-in-progress.)

Whether you're learning the Scarlet/Fusion movesets, drilling perfect-parry follow-ups, or building your own combo lists from scratch, it keeps the reference right where you can see it — resizable, movable, and as subtle or as flashy as you want.

How the "Next" line works - ( the core of the mod )

There's no "Next" label on screen — you tell it apart by position and size. While the panel is idle, nothing shows. The moment you press the first button, two rows appear: the Sequence: row (labelled) shows the buttons you've already pressed, and right below it the Next input appears as a big, centered glyph with no label — that large centered button is the one you press next to continue the combo. If neon is on, it's drawn as the animated neon glyph; if the combo can branch, it shows every valid next option side by side. When there's nothing left to press, it reads - end of sequence -, and once you land a combo the whole line clears for the next one.

Challenge mode (Randomizer)

Turn on Randomizer (challenge mode) in Settings and the panel switches from reference to test: it hides the full combo list and throws one random combo from the active moveset at you to land blind — you see only the sequence you have to hit, not the name. Nail the whole thing and it reveals the combo's name, then rolls a fresh random one. Miss a button and it blinks red and restarts the same combo, so you drill it until it sticks. Tick Neon in randomizer to draw the challenge in animated neon: the full combo draws in, dims, then each glyph lights back up as you land it — a wrong input blinks the lit ones and the loop restarts.
