Liquid Pressure Fed Engine Control Script

This is a script for controlling the engine pipes of a Liquid Pressure Fed rocket engine that uses Liquid Oxygen and Liquid Volatiles as fuel. The script attempt to keep the fuel ratio in the pipe at the right molar ratio so that optimal thrust is achieved. This script will not work for a Liquid Nitrous based fuel. Pin Setups: d0 - Pressure Fed Liquid Engine d1 - Pipe Analyzer d2 - Volatiles Volume Pump (Turbo or normal) d3 - Oxygen Volume Pump (Turbo or normal) d4 - Purge Valve Rocket Setup: Build the rest of the rocket as you'd like. Ideally load this program onto a chip and put in a rocket IC housing with the above pins. While the Purge valve is somewhat optional, I included it in the code in case it is needed for emergency pressure relief while in flight. The code will fill the engine pipes to roughly 50% liquid volume of Liquid Volatiles, and from whatever that fill rate it will calculate how much liquid oxygen is needed to get the appropriate amount of liquid oxygen to ensure the molar fuel ratio is 2 Vol:1 Oxygen. It will use the heat exchange setting of the engine to increase the temperature of the engine fuel pipe to achieve a target pressure of 5. 9MPA (there is a constant in the code that can be adjusted) by evaporating the liquid oxygen to achieve that pressure. The heat exchange rate is tune to be rather slow so it may take the engine a while to get to that pressure, if not get close enough. The purge valve is there in case the heat is aggressive enough that it can expend extra gas pressure to a separate gas pipe network. For this gas pipe network, you could push this oxygen into your liquid oxygen storage, or break a pipe so that this oxygen is vented out. This should eventually settle the engine at over 35kN of thrust. It will vary depending on how aggressive the engine heat exchange setting is.
