WeatherWatch (24h Clock)

Runs time of day and optionally weather monitoring. Place daylight sensor facing sunrise with data port down.​​ Single chip 24 hour clock and weather event monitor. Intended to be attached to the main power grid. Setting up The Daylight Sensor is required. Until the Daylight Sensor is configured, the chip housing will show -1. Place the Daylight Sensor facing sunset on the planet you are on. On most vanilla planets the sensor's surface must be facing in the direction of 90°, so you will be facing 270° when placing the Daylight Sensor. Make sure the data port is pointing down. On Mimas the orbit is reversed, so the Daylight Sensor must be placed facing the direction of 270°, which means you will be facing 90° when placing it. When placed, grab your screwdriver and configure the Daylight Sensor on the first pin. Load up the chip with the software and edit the "CURRENTDAY" variable at the top of the script to reflect the current in-game day number (as shown in the face display HUD). Confirm and export to the chip. After this everything else is optional and designed to be plug and play with no need to turn off the chip while reconfiguring things. Operation Time display is 24 hours, with sunrise at 6:00 and sunset at 18:00. Day counter is incremented at every sunrise. Any Small LED Display you attach to the same cable network will be "hijacked" by WeatherWatch to display the current hour of the day. If you attach a Weather Station to the chip (2nd pin), any Flashing Light on the same cable network will be forced on while a storm is incoming. You can optionally also attach Small LED Displays to the 3 pins on the right-hand side of the chip housing. First one will show the current day number, second one is the hour display and third one is the minute display. During daytime the time display is shown in white numbers and by night time the color changes to purple (I found the blue numbers a bit too hard to read).
