A complete snow overhaul for State of Decay 2, built from my own vision within the limits of the engine.

☃️ NOW FULLY MODULAR ☃️

After seeing that existing snow mods were abandoned and no longer compatible, I decided to create my own version. This mod blankets practically every element of the map in snow — within the limits of the engine.

To ensure the mod remains compatible with future updates and to give everyone the freedom to choose exactly what they want, the project is now modularized.

The Core mod is the mandatory lightweight base. Each new feature, atmospheric effect, or plague tweak is now released as an optional Add-on in the FILES tab. Mix and match according to your taste!

INSTALLATION

• []Download the Core - Winter is Coming Base .pak file.[/]

  [](Optional) Download the add-on .pak files you want.[/]

  []Place all .pak files in your Paks folder (press Win+R, paste the path below, and hit Enter):[/]

  For Steam and Epic Users:

  %LocalAppData%\StateOfDecay2\Saved\Paks

  For Windows Store Users:

  %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft. Dayton_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Local\StateOfDecay2\Saved\Paks

  If the Paks folder does not exist, you will need to create it.

  You can also use Mod Manager By KaiHeilos.

  IMPORTANT UPDATE NOTES:

  • []Before updating: Always delete the old Core and add-on .pak files from your Paks folder before placing the new versions. This prevents compatibility glitches and version conflicts.[/]

    []File order (if using multiple add-ons): Always place the Core file first. For manual sorting, name your files in order (e.g., 001_Core_P.pak, 002_Addon1_P.pak, 003_Addon2_P.pak).[/]

    Important: The use of the mod is at your own risk.

    Compatible with latest Update 38. 2 of State of Decay 2.

    Supports all game languages.
