Vibrant Volcanic Landscapes - Biome Visual Transformation

The volcanic biomes called "VolcanicRoughNoLife09" and "VolcanicRoughNoLife10" are two of the few volcanic biomes that can contain large bodies of water. This mod transforms what would otherwise be dull biomes into colourful volcanic landscapes. Additionally, on moons capable of harbouring water, there are also vibrant turquoise volcanic mineral pools and lakes.

The "VolcanicRoughNoLife09" biome contains large lakes and mountains, and can be found on four celestial bodies:

- Groombridge VIII-d (Oxygen atmosphere, heavy metal water, no magnetosphere)

- Oborum II-a (Methane atmosphere, safe water, no magnetosphere)

- Verne I (Inferno planet, no water). Note: There are two volcanic biomes on Verne I, and only one is affected by this mod.

- Bardeen I (Inferno planet, no water)

The "VolcanicRoughNoLife10" biome (added in Version 1. 1) contains a mix of large lakes and small cellular pools, as well as a fissured landscape. This biome can be found on four celestial bodies:

- Huygen VII-a (Nitrogen atmosphere, biological water, no magnetosphere)

- Bardeen V-b (Frozen planet, no water)

- Vern V (Nitrogen atmosphere, safe water, weak magnetosphere)

- Procyon I (Inferno planet, no water)

Essentially, the mod is a "skin pack" for the biomes. The main file does not modify gameplay mechanics such as flora, fauna, resources, keywords, or quests. To make the three moons with water (Groombridge VIII-d, Oborum II-a, and Huygen VII-a) more appealing as a place to visit and to establish an outpost, an optional file is available to modify the planetary characteristics. Hence, they have an oxygen atmosphere, safe water, and a strong magnetosphere. You can imagine the water being warm and create a hot pool spa retreat at the lakeshore.

- Retextured the terrain. It is now very colourful.

- The water has a vibrant turquoise colour.

Optional file:

- Changed the planetary characteristics of Groombridge VIII-d, Oborum II-a, and Huygen VII-a by giving them a breathable atmosphere, safe water, and a magnetosphere.

INSTALLATION:

Download the files via a mod manager.
