📋 About This Mod
This mod should be considered a BETA release.
HIDE THIS MARKER VERSION 2. 0
Markers can now be disabled by scanning them with your hand scanner. This is not enabled by default, you will need to activate it from the Add/Remove settings slate. There's also a setting in Gameplay Options to switch this scanner mode to "indicate", which creates an effect at marker positions to allow you to find them more easily. See the new video for a demo.
I would strongly recommend getting Hide This Marker if you use UAM as checking through Free Lanes and Terran Armada will take me quite a while, so there may be markers blocking things that you need to pick up.
VERSION 1. 9 HOTFIX FOR TERRAN ARMADA
A marker was blocking a character from continuing their dialogue at the end of the Hidden Incursion mission in Terran Armada, this has now been fixed in 1. 9. This was a previously unused vanilla marker placed under another marker that needed to be activated to end a scene, which I've not seen before so didn't think to check for. Two other markers have had geometry ignore keywords added as well, this was mostly for a non-critical issue where bounty targets already using existing markers wouldn't switch to using their surrender animation.
If Hidden Incursion is currently stuck for you, there are a few ways to advance it (spoilers ahead). If you shoot Percy Kanu until he collapses, when he recovers he should go into the correct arrested pose and the quest will continue; you may want to send your active companion back to your ship first though or they may attack the other NPCs in the room. Alternatively you can just wait until Anchorpoint has a cell reset (or force one by sleeping on Venus for a day) and the quest will complete, but you'll miss Yemoja's ending dialogue. Or you can just load a save from before the confrontation scene.
INTRODUCTION
You've probably seen NPCs in the game repairing something, working out, leaning on a desk, or performing any number of animations. Most of these use a kind of invisible furniture, usable by NPCs (even your current follower, sometimes) but not usable by the player. This mod changes that, so many of those markers can now be interacted with and used just like you would use a chair. It can make for a nice bit of added immersion, and of course can also be useful for screenshots.
This was originally planned to be part of Command NPCs until I decided to split them, as you can command your followers to use any unowned markers. As yo
Usable Animation Markers lets players trigger NPC-only animation markers found throughout the game, enabling immersive roleplay or screenshot opportunities. With 338 endorsements and 17,474 downloads, it's a niche but popular tool for players who want to use idle animations, emotes, or scene-specific actions that are normally restricted to NPCs.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 338 endorsements and over 17k downloads—clearly a mod people find useful.
- Opens up new roleplay and screenshot possibilities by letting you trigger animations you'd normally never see on your character.
- Lightweight and straightforward—no complex dependencies or patches needed.
⚠️ Cons
- The description is pretty bare-bones, so you're not getting a detailed feature list or instructions—you'll have to figure out some things on your own.
- Since it's a niche animation mod, it might not be compatible with other mods that alter animation markers or player controls.
- No mention of updates or patches for recent game versions, so there's a risk it could break with future updates.
For roleplayers and screenshot enthusiasts who want to use NPC-only animations to enhance their storytelling or capture unique shots. Also great for players who enjoy experimenting with game mechanics. Skip if you're looking for combat or gameplay overhauls—this is purely for animation and immersion.
💡 Beginner Tips
