📋 About This Mod

Mod Overview

The Unifying Force introduces a set of brand-new powers for Starfield, inspired by Star Wars Force abilities.

  • []All powers are implemented through SFSE, making them fully custom mechanics rather than reworked vanilla abilities. [/]

[]By default, each power uses its Star Wars–inspired name. An optional file is available in the FOMOD that replaces these with Starfield-friendly names[/]

Lore Friendly Name: Gravity Throw

Description: Throws your currently equipped melee weapon, damaging any targets hit. Returns on impact. Damage is equal to your weapon's base damage and takes into account the target's resistance. Scales with ranks of the Dueling perk.

Lore Friendly Name: Gravity Grip

Description: Lifts and draws the target towards you. Release the power to launch the target away. Enemies hit by the hurled NPC will be knocked down.

Lore Friendly Name: Electric Stream

Description: A sustained, concentration-based power that releases a continuous stream of electricity, damaging targets while maintained. Damage scales with ranks of the Particle Beam perk.

Lore Friendly Name: Mind Control

Description: Take control of the target for 60s. Pressing the attack key will cause the target to attack nearby enemies. Pressing the power key while in control of an NPC will dispel the power early.

How to Acquire the New Powers

By default, the powers added by The Unifying Force are automatically added to the player when specific vanilla powers are acquired.

Unlock Conditions

  • []Force Storm – Unlocked when the player acquires Particle Beam[/]

[]Saber Throw – Unlocked when the player acquires Elemental Pull[/]

[]Essence Transfer – Unlocked when the player acquires Inner Demon[/]

[]Force Grip – Unlocked when the player acquires Gravity Well[/]

In the future, a more involved quest-based unlock system is planned.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solid download-to-endorsement ratio (11,295 downloads, 42 endorsements) shows real interest
  • Adds fan-favorite powers like Saber Throw and Lightning, which fit Starfield's sci-fi fantasy vibe
  • Actively maintained—last updated June 2026

⚠️ Cons

  • Low endorsement count (42) suggests it's still a niche mod
  • Requires SFSE, so you're locked into the script extender ecosystem
  • Potential conflicts with other mods that alter Starborn powers or SFSE-based gameplay tweaks
🎯 Is This For You?
For Starfield players who want more combat variety and enjoy using Starborn powers. If you're a power-focused build or just like throwing lightsabers (well, energy blades), this is for you. Skip if you're not into script extender mods or prefer pure vanilla powers.
📦 Install:Medium· 5-10 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure SFSE is installed and up to date before adding this mod—otherwise the powers won't load.
  • Use a mod manager like MO2 or Vortex to handle the file placement and avoid overwriting issues.
  • Test the new powers in a save where you already have Starborn powers unlocked to see how they integrate.
