📋 About This Mod

DESCRIPTION

It's a ragdoll gun! Shoot any human NPC (even allies) and they'll collapse on the spot. Their bodies will be affected by physics, i.e. if you run into them. It does no damage, and also won't be seen as a hostile act. The gun's melee attack won't be seen as hostile either. Now you can engage in some harmless stress relief without needing to reload your save afterwards, like a true (non)homicidal maniac.

The Shattered Space addon adds support for the two new "human" races added in the DLC, including Redeemed.

BACKGROUND/LORE

In your travels you've come across the schematics for a new, top secret Arboron pistol. Mindful of their reliance on EM weapons for their non-lethal products, the company has been experimenting with alternatives. They've found a way to painlessly cause a target to collapse, without even rendering them unconscious. What's more the target is seemingly unaware of what has just happened, as is everyone around them, and will go right back to what they were doing afterwards. The downside is duration, one shot can only keep the average human incapacitated for around 20 seconds.

Arboron is considering marketing it for riot control, although there's some doubt over whether the UC would ever license a weapon for production that can be used in public with such impunity. Particularly as there are rumors that this localized amnesia-like ability is a result of Arboron's legally questionable experiments with Terrormorph mind control.

INSTRUCTIONS

You can make the Incapacificator 3000 at any industrial workbench. It requires two iron and some zero wire. If you don't have those, you should be able to buy one copper and one silver (which you can then turn into one zero wire at the workbench) and the required iron from an inorganic resources vendor, like Midtown Minerals in Akila City or the Mining League in Neon. The gun doesn't require or consume any ammunition.

If you want to you can give one to your followers and they'll use it in combat. However, as targets aren't actually knocked out like they are with EM weapons, they'll just continue shooting an enemy on the ground until interrupted. It can be fun to give them a grenade as well, so they can send incapacitated enemies flying. The gun is useless against any non-human creature or robot.

I think I've blocked any weapon mods you can apply to this gun at a weapon workbench that would cause any damage to NPCs. The gun does deliberately ignore the immunity certain characters (like Sarah) have to paralysi
