What does this mod do?
StarValor is a complete overhaul of combat damage and health values in Starfield.
While the game has great mods adding new features and animations, they often fail to balance gameplay. In Starfield, enemies like pirates can range from weak with 100 HP to powerful ones with over 5000 HP, leading to either quick one-hit kills or unrealistic, drawn-out battles that break immersion. StarValor addresses this imbalance by automatically adjusting health and damage values, ensuring fair, engaging, and challenging combat.
The patching is done with StarPatcher, an SFSE patcher that can automatically patch game data without causing many incompatibilities. It can also patch mods you have installed automatically, without the need for additional patches.
Enjoy more dynamic encounters that feel balanced, with smooth and mod-compatible gameplay.
This mod is still an early version of the mod and the balance can be off here and there. I'm happy about every feedback!
Key features
Ammo (done by StarPatcher)
Damage has been shifted to ammunition. This means that the damage no longer depends on the weapon; it depends on the ammo it uses.
Difficulty
You can die very quickly if you're not careful. It's recommended to adjust the gameplay options and reduce dealt by enemies when installing this mod for the first time. I suggest starting on Very Easy. Yes, Very Easy. Weapons are lethal, even to you and your followers.
Locational Damage
Body parts have been adjusted. Areas like the arms and legs now take less damage than before. Aiming for vital body parts is now more important than ever.
StarValor is a gameplay overhaul for Starfield that rebalances combat to make enemies more engaging while preserving difficulty. It includes automatic patching for other mods, ensuring smoother and more dynamic battles. With 283 endorsements and recent updates, it's a community-tested option for players seeking improved combat.

✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 283 endorsements and over 16k downloads.
- Actively maintained—last updated April 2026.
- Auto-patching means less hassle when using other combat mods.
⚠️ Cons
- Combat rebalance mods can conflict with other gameplay overhauls—check your load order.
- May not suit players who prefer vanilla difficulty or specific enemy behaviors.
- Limited description leaves specifics on enemy AI changes unclear.
For Starfield players who want more engaging combat without cranking up difficulty. If you're tired of bullet-sponge enemies and want dynamic battles, this is for you. Skip if you're happy with vanilla combat or prefer total conversion overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it auto-patches other mods, install StarValor after your other combat mods to ensure proper integration.
- Test combat in a low-stakes area first to get a feel for the new enemy behavior.
- If you use a mod manager, let it handle the file placement to avoid overwriting issues.
