📋 About This Mod
This is my take on the crew perk, it seemed way too stingy:
-
[]Rank 1: 5 crew members
[
]Rank 2: 10 crew members[]Rank 3: 20 crew members
[]Rank 4: 50 crew members
I have included options for x10 and x100 of this, I would only run these versions if you have a good pc as the main reason for the really low vanilla limits is performance, you may be able to get away with x10 on a mid range pc but I don't know.
You might have to remove and readd the perk for the crew limit to take effect due to the way it uses a spell to apply it to you, if that happens use these commands:
player.removeperk 002C53B3
player.addperk 002C53B3
This should "cast" the spell that tells the game how many crew slots you should have so try this if it's not working and you already have the ship command perk maxed out.
I also haven't tested this much since I don't actually have a lot more crew than like 5 people in my current playthrough so please report issues you find!
Install with your preferred Plugins.txt method.
Ship Command Perk Redux is a gameplay mod for Starfield that expands the ship command perk to allow up to 50 active crew members, with optional x10 and x100 multipliers for those who want to push their PC's limits. It's a straightforward tweak for players who want larger crews without other changes.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 393 endorsements and over 12k downloads.
- Simple, focused mod that does exactly what it says—no bloat.
- The x10 and x100 options are a fun way to stress-test your rig if you're into that.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in October 2023—might not be compatible with the latest Starfield patches.
- The x100 option will likely tank your framerate, so it's more of a meme than a practical setting.
For Starfield players who want to command a massive crew without juggling multiple mods. Perfect for ship builders and roleplayers who want a bustling bridge. Skip if you're looking for gameplay overhauls—this is a simple perk tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the Ship Command perk unlocked in-game before expecting the increased crew limit to apply.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex, let it handle the file placement to avoid overwriting issues.
- Start with the base 50 crew option first; the x10 and x100 settings can cause severe performance drops, especially in busy areas.
