And please don't bother Synthlight if the SFSE version isn't working, updates will come with time.
SUPPORT FOR GAMEPASS/MICROSOFT VERSION ADDED
--DISABLE SHIP SIZE LIMIT/FIX LANDING ISSUES--
sStartingConsoleCommand = bat sb_limit_remover
If you have other bat commands there just add a ; after and include the command. Example:
sStartingConsoleCommand = bat sb_limit_remover;bat tweak_something;bat cheats;bat etc
This fixes the landing problem, allows for larger ships and (apparently) fixes the issue with setting a home ship, this DOES NOT allow for more reactors, shields etc. You need to use the cheat table for that, so keep reading.
If you need more details on how to use StarfieldCustom.ini check the bottom of the description.
BACKUP YOUR SAVE. Don't blame me if shit happens and you don't have a backup
Recommended (optional) mods:
Ship Builder Tolerance Tweaks
Ship Builder Tweaks
How to use:
- Choose your version:
- The cheat table (.ct file) version requires Cheat Engine to be installed.
- The .exe files runs on its own, but your anti-virus might flag it (false positive).
- If you don't know how to download Cheat Engine check below.
- Open the game.
- Run the cheat table (.ct) or the executable (.exe) file.
- If the .ct version asks you something about "running lua scripts" just accept it.
- Enable the options you want. Greyed out options are just disabled, you should use the .txt file as described above instead.
For those using the cheat table directly, I recommend using this menu and not the address list: <
Ship Builder Unrestricted removes build limits in Starfield's ship builder, including max reactors, shields, and ship size. Works on both Gamepass and Steam via a cheat table or standalone trainer. Popular with 2,110 endorsements and 82,331 downloads, last updated September 2023.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust (2,110 endorsements) and massive download count (82k+) — clearly works for many players.
- Flexible delivery: cheat table or standalone trainer, so you can pick what fits your setup.
- Covers the most annoying ship builder caps — reactors, shields, and size — all in one mod.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated September 2023 — may not work with the latest Starfield patches.
- No SFSE version yet despite the 'coming soon' note, so script extender users are out of luck.
- Cheat table/trainer approach may trigger anti-cheat or be flagged by some antivirus software.
For Starfield ship builders who want to push their creations beyond vanilla limits without grinding for perks. Also for players on Gamepass who can't use SFSE easily. Skip if you prefer a more balanced or lore-friendly ship building experience.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're on Gamepass, use the standalone trainer version since SFSE isn't supported there.
- Make sure to launch the trainer or load the cheat table before entering the ship builder menu.
- Test your oversized ships in space to ensure they don't clip into space stations or cause performance issues.
