Refurbished Goods Quest Fix - Denis Averin (No Longer Needed)

Hopefully the final update, version 3 includes a fix for anyone who had the quest in progress when the 1. 16. 236. 0 update happened and has found that the quest is stuck and they can't turn in the items to Denis. This adds a slate to your inventory, Refurbished Goods Stuck Quest Fix, which when read will complete the quest and allow it to restart normally when you next speak to Denis. The next time you do the quest it should be fixed.

If the quest wasn't in progress for you when the 1. 16. 236. 0 update happened you shouldn't need this.Refurbished Goods has now been fixed by Bethesda in the 1. 16. 236. 0 (Free Lanes) update, and this fix is no longer needed. The version 2 plugin now just changes a couple of log entries to clarify that you should return to Denis when you have enough items, and I've really just updated it to ensure that nobody stays using the old fix which will no longer function.

DESCRIPTION

Denis Averin at the UC Exchange in Cydonia has a repeatable quest called Refurbished Goods, which sends you to various locations to collect a certain number of items which you must then return to Denis.

The quest was somewhat broken in one of Bethesda's game updates, instead of the required number of items being available in the "boss chest" at the location you were sent to, only a single item would be there. The quest was still completable as you could obtain the items asked for elsewhere and still return them to Denis, but this wasn't the intended quest behavior. The quest was adding the correct number of items to the container, but the container was being reset as the player arrived at the location, removing all but one. The mission text also suggests the player has collected enough items for Denis even when they haven't picked them up yet.

This mod ensures the correct number of items will be in the container at the location you're sent to, and changes some of the quest text to clarify that you should return to Denis when you have collected the required number of items.

If you just want to use this fix as-is, please select the small master option.

A full master that includes the script source is also available, select this only if you're intending to merge this fix into another plugin yourself.
