Portable Container

Enables the use of one or more portable containers. The containers can be stored in the inventory or dropped anywhere, so that they can be opened at any time, provided you have the appropriate key with you.

Unfortunately, a serious error occurred in V1. 1. If you have already downloaded V1. 1, please do not execute the Debug -> Remove all Containers function. All items in the portable containers will be lost. They will NOT be moved to your own inventory.

How it works

After installing the mod, you will receive a 'Portable Container Authorization Key' in your inventory.

This entitles you to use portable containers.

These portable containers can be produced free of charge at any industrial workbench.

You now place this container on the ground, provided that the 'Portable Container Authorization Key' is in your inventory. The key does not have to be equipped, it is sufficient if it is in your inventory.

If you lose the key, you can have it reproduced at any industrial workbench.

If you now point the crosshairs at the portable container, 'Open Container' appears.

If you select this, a menu with the following options opens:

Open Container (Put Stuff in)

This allows you to put stuff in the container. The transfer menu opens.

Open Container (Take  stuff out)

This allows you to get stuff out of the container. The transfer menu opens.

Remove Container

This container is removed and all the stuff is transferred to the player's inventory.

Debug

Find lost Containers (new in V1. 1)

If you can't remember where you placed containers, you can transfer them to your location using this feature. After each transfer, a message will pop up asking if you want to move the container to your location.

Remove all Containers

the option of removing all containers that are located somewhere in the game world. Use this function before removing the mod.

In case you have forgotten where you placed the containers. All the stuff is transferred to the player's inventory.

A maximum of 128 containers can be used.

Can you pick up a container once it's placed on the ground?

Yes, of course. You can pick it up and put it down anywhere like any other item.
