📋 About This Mod
Autosave can be set via ingame menu. Various intervals can be set. From 2 minutes to 30 minutes.
How it Works
When the mod is initialized for the first time, an item (autosave) is placed in the player's inventory as a weapon. As soon as you have equipped the weapon, a menu opens where you can set the autosave intervals. To avoid cluttering up your inventory, you can store the item somewhere. However, it is not automatically placed back in the inventory when you reload. If you lose the item, you can use this command at any time via the console:
help AutoS_Item 0
player.additem FE00xx824 1
xx is the value that you previously determined using the 'help' command. It depends on your loading order and is therefore different for every player.
And unfortunately there are no thumbnails in the saves. I don't understand it, Bethesda, how could you leave that out? Preview images are an absolute must if you create multiple saves. This is standard in 2024.
Update V1. 4
From version 1. 4, you can also save manually using a hotkey.
Save Name Setting and reset the counter:
The save game name consists of two parts in the hotkeys.ini
The first part is the one before the counter and the second part is the one after the counter.
For example, if the hotkey line looks like this:
F10=cgf "AutosaveTimerscript. SaveGameManually" "--- MySaveGame " " ---"
Then the generated SaveGame name would look like this: --- MySaveGame 3 ---
If you want to put the counter at the end, simply omit the second part of the name: ""
F10=cgf "AutosaveTimerscript. SaveGameManually" "--- MySaveGame --- " ""
Result: --- MySaveGame --- 3
If you want to place the counter at the beginning, just insert a space in the first part: " "
F10=cgf "AutosaveTimerscript. SaveGameManually" " " "--- MySaveGame ---"
Result: 3 --- MySaveGame ---
The counter is incremented by 1 after each save. Reset by reinstalling the
mod. I have not yet installed a reset function. Maybe in the next
you can reset the global variable via the console:
Save Name Counter:
set FExxx884 to ‘Value’
Auto Save Name Counter:
set FExxx854 to ‘Value’
