📋 About This Mod
POIs in Starfield repeat themselves often and are exact replicas with dead bodies, data slates, terminals and other lore repeating themselves. This mod helps to solve this issue by creating many variations of each vanilla POI and only allowing the lore filled vanilla versions of POIs to appear once, as unique locations.
This mod makes the following changes:
- Each vanilla POI with lore in it is now a unique location and can be found in the star map (POIs which are artefact locations will still appear as artefact locations
- Each vanilla POI that has lore in it/feels repetitive has now got multiple variations generated, all of which have lore removed and these replace the lore POIs when exploring planets.
- Changes in variations include: All lore removed, different loot locations, different clutter locations, different enemy locations, different number of enemies, interior cells sometimes removed
- POI variations appear on mission boards
- Some POI variations have been renamed to more generic names so that they are consistent with the lore. E.g. Cryo Lab is now called Abandoned Lab because the variations are not frozen.
Lore explanation for POI variations:
POIs are prefabs that come furnished as unfortunately there is no Space IKEA that delivers furniture to remote planets on demand. However as people live in these POIs there are some more minor furniture differences that the inhabitants will make as they live in them.
