📋 About This Mod

Starfield has A LOT of really cool civilian clothing, but do you wanna know what the problem is?

YOU CAN'T WEAR MOST OF IT.

Over 15 new outfits can be crafted at any industrial workbench!

Eyup, gonna clutter it just like FO4's chemstation UwU

(Pls submit your screenshots so it doesn't feel so empty)

Installation:

1. Add *InoueCivilianClothing.esm to the Plugins.txt from Plugins.txt Enabler

2. Install with your manager of choice!

Bugs

Your outfit will change colour whenever you reload your save file or unequip it

(If you lose your prefered texture variant, you can just favourite the outfit and swap until you get it again)

Colour preview in the armour menu isn't accurate

(When in the inventory screen / tab, the colour variant will be different than the one you're playing in game)

Companions colour variants ALWAYS change when you leave a cell, etc.

(Again, I don't understand the material swapping yet)

(I'M GOING TO FIX ALL OF THE MATERIAL ISSUES WHEN I HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING)

Notes

NPC Outfits don't have morphs, so you'll want to keep your characters weight triangle in the center to prevent clipping.

(The outfits in this mod are based off the Average body type,)

✨ Key Features

Adds most non-playable civilian clothing variants from the crowdrace set.
Makes previously NPC-only outfits available for the player character.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solid community backing with 253 endorsements and over 23k downloads.
  • Fills a real gap—lets you wear outfits you normally only see on NPCs.
  • Simple concept, no bloat—just adds the clothing you're missing.

⚠️ Cons

  • May conflict with other mods that alter the same clothing items or body meshes.
  • Last updated in 2023, so it might not be compatible with the latest game patches.
  • Limited to civilian clothing—if you wanted military or unique gear, this isn't it.
🎯 Is This For You?
For roleplayers and fashion-minded players who want to blend in with the crowd or recreate NPC looks. Skip if you're after gameplay changes or high-end armor—this is purely cosmetic.
