Introduction

In vanilla Starfield, NPCs do not use consumable items in combat. As a result, encounters can feel predictable, since enemies lack the ability to dynamically react by healing or enhancing themselves.

This mod introduces a fully configurable system that allows NPCs to use healing and buff items before and during combat.

Depending on your settings, NPCs can restore their health, boost their combat performance, and become significantly more dangerous. The goal is to create more dynamic and unpredictable encounters while keeping everything balanced and configurable.

  How it works

  NPCs are assigned a random number of heal and buff item uses.

  During combat, they may use these items depending on their situation. Healing is triggered when their health drops below a threshold, while buff items are typically used when entering combat.

  Each item use rolls independently, including whether a common or rare item is selected.

  NPCs do not carry these items during combat. However, any remaining unused items can be dropped on death, with each i
