📋 About This Mod
This simple mod adds new platforms visible in the distance from the main city of Neon.
These platforms are not accessible and are purely visual, intended to enhance immersion. I deliberately added them far enough on purpose, as I just want them to be part of the landscape, barely visible for some.
Why this expansion?
Similar to my other mod, HopeTown Expanded, I’ve always felt that cities in Starfield are smaller than they should be. To be fair, Neon is actually one of the more convincing locations in terms of scale, and probably the most credible in the game.
That said, adding distant platforms helps create the impression that the planet holds more than just a single building and enhance immersion.
I originally made this mod back when the Creation Kit was first released. At the time, I struggled with the Creation Kit and LOD settings, and the platforms weren’t displaying properly during testing—so I abandoned the project. Until now.
Compatibility
Conflicts are very unlikely, but this mod may be incompatible with any other mods that alter the exact exterior cells surrounding Neon.
Known issues
Each platform includes a landing pad, intended for NPC use only. However, I haven’t been able to confirm if NPC ships are actually using them—I haven’t seen it happen yet. If anyone knows how to make that work properly, please let me know! 🙏
Note
These platforms will not be made accessible.
There are no doors, no landing permissions, and no bridges or connections to Neon. They are meant to be self-sufficient structures. NPCs can reach Neon or other areas via boats or spaceships, just like in the game's lore. You may be dissapointed if you try to reach them.
I may add some better lighting on them or maybe even more platforms, but that's all.
