Five New Standalone Weapon Skins

Here are five standalone new weapon skins for the Microgun available to craft at the Weapons Workbench. Two files are needed, the main plugin .esm and the textures are now packed neatly in a . BA2 file that sits next to it.

Unlike the vanilla skins, I have taken the time to make modified visuals for all of the weapon mod options: muzzles including suppressor, all barrels, both lasers, both grips, and all magazines.

Not gonna lie, each skin has like 140 individual visual assets, so it isn't the smallest mod. Was quite a bit of work too, but these are fun and worth it.

These are coded to "Know by Default" so are immediately available at the Workbench. They require no mats to craft.

Skins Added: 

• []Army - is olive drab and black with some yellow-orange decals similar to military warning paint.

  []Gold - is a nice shiny gold color with some tasteful blue decals.

  []Grafitti - is a fun and colorful grafitti style using generic grafitti visuals created in Stable Diffusion just so I didn't have to steal actual gang grafitti pics from Google or wherever. It's a lot of fun to hold and look at.

  []Painless - is a blackout version like the OG military minigun named Painless used in the Predator film.

  []T-1000 - another nod to Arnold films, this is a solid chrome look like the T-1000 Terminator body.

  Options: None at this time.

  Requirements: like other .esm mods, you must get and set up the Plugins.txt Enabler, then add

  Microgun-Skins-Minx.esm

  to your Plugins.txt file.

  It is not necessary to add the textures . BA2 file to your Plugins.txt, the game side loads those automatically.

  Install:

  • []The game data .esm file and the .ba2 file goes into your main game install /Data/ folder just like other .esm files. This could be something like E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data\Microgun-Skins-Minx.esm

    Uninstall:  can try a manager or manually delete:

    main install location*/Starfield/Data/Microgun-Skins-Minx.esm
