📋 About This Mod
By request of Little Viking on the Starfield Modding Discord.
The vanilla game includes a hidden "perk" that (a) increases player damage taken by 10% per visit to the Unity and (b) decreases player weapon damage by 5%. Then, at level 10 it caps off, so you're now enemies are dealing double damage to you and it takes double the ammunition to take them down.
Here you may choose between two options:
Remove all multipliers from the "perk" (The original Infinite Universes file)
Reduce the effect halfway, where damage taken increases by 5% and player weapon damage decreases by 3% (The new Half-Infinite Universes file).
Please choose only one file to download. I've successfully used MO2, or you can manually extract the esm to the Data folder as usual.
The pedants around will inevitably ask "why 3% instead of 2. 5%?" for the half file. Creation Kit precision won't let me use thousandths, that's why.
And yes, there is a typo in the filename. N and T are adjacent on a Dvorak keyboard. And no, I won't be fixing it because that breaks load orders.
Infinite Universes - No Unity Damage Mult removes the damage multipliers applied when traveling through the Unity in Starfield. This is a small, focused gameplay tweak for players who want more consistent combat without the post-jump damage adjustments. With 283 endorsements and 55,228 downloads, it has a modest but active user base.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective—does exactly what it says, no bloat.
- Community-tested with 283 endorsements and over 55k downloads.
- Great for players who hate the arbitrary damage swings after Unity jumps.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated January 2025—might not be compatible with future Starfield patches.
- Niche appeal: only affects post-Unity damage, so if you don't use that mechanic, this mod does nothing for you.
For Starfield players who find the Unity damage multipliers annoying and want a more predictable combat experience. If you're a completionist who jumps between universes often, this mod removes a frustrating inconsistency. Skip if you're looking for broader gameplay overhauls—this is a single, focused tweak.
