📋 About This Mod
An immersive retexture of various pieces of Pirate gear, This is for users who think there's entirely too much red in some of the gear, but also don't want to lose ALL of the red.. For those who still want it be the 'Crimson Fleet' in some way.
To put it simply; This mod adds a lot of darker colours without completely removing the crimson elements, think of the red as the secondary colour now, rather than the primary one.
In my opinion not everything really needed editing, but I'm open to suggestions!

Immersive Pirate Gear - Redone is a visual retexture mod for Starfield that tones down the excessive red on Crimson Fleet pirate gear while keeping some red accents. It's for players who want a more grounded, less saturated look without losing the faction identity. With 229 endorsements and 9,532 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated cosmetic overhaul.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 229 endorsements and nearly 10k downloads—clearly fills a niche.
- Strikes a balance between immersion and faction identity—keeps some red so it's still Crimson Fleet.
- Simple visual tweak that doesn't require gameplay changes—just drop it in and enjoy.
⚠️ Cons
- Only covers pirate gear—if you wanted other faction armor redone, this won't help.
- No screenshots or detailed previews in the description, so you're flying blind on the exact look.
- Last updated May 2026—if Starfield's had patches since, might need a check for compatibility.
For Starfield players who love the Crimson Fleet aesthetic but cringe at the neon-red overload on their gear. If you want a more muted, realistic look while keeping the faction vibe, this is for you. Skip if you're fine with the vanilla red or want a complete overhaul of all armor.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a retexture, make sure you place the files in the correct Data folder (e.g., Documents/My Games/Starfield/Data) or use a mod manager like Vortex to avoid conflicts.
- If you're using other pirate gear mods, load this one after them to ensure its textures take priority.
- Check the mod's comments section for any user screenshots—the description lacks images, so community posts are your best bet to see the result.
