CompX - Crew and Passenger Expansion

Slayton Aerospace, a leading innovator in spacefaring technology, proudly unveils its groundbreaking product line: CompX, short for "Complement Expansion." This cutting-edge series of structural components harnesses the latest advances in dimensional expansion technology to redefine the limits of starship crew and passenger capacity.

Developed by Slayton Aerospace’s visionary R&D division, CompX components are engineered to optimize internal ship architecture by utilizing dimensional layering. This breakthrough allows shipbuilders to significantly increase the habitable space within existing hull constraints, paving the way for larger crews, expanded passenger accommodations, and improved operational efficiency—all without requiring a larger or heavier vessel.

There are mods that do a similar thing but none of them did what I wanted them to do so this was created.

CompX allows you to easily increase your crew and/or passenger slots and increases the amount of allowed crew with the Ship Command perk.

It also adjusts the base allowed crew slots as I felt the default 3 without the perk was just way too small of a number.

Technical DetailsHere is a breakdown of exactly what this mod includes.

• []Default Crew Slots

  []Increases the default crew slots from 3 to 10

  []This is done via a one time hidden quest which runs a script to increase the default allowed slots

  []This will work even in the middle of a playthrough

• []Here is a breakdown for each rank:

  []Rank 1: Allows 30 active crew

  []Rank 2: Allows 50 active crew

  []Rank 3: Allows 70 active crew

  []Rank 4: Allows 100 active crew

[]These changes are done via the same one time quest script

• []The script is smart and will automatically fix your perk if you have already unlocked any level of this perk. Meaning there won't be any need for console commands to make the new values take effect when installed in the middle of a playthrough.
