Chunks Noir

The Chunks Noir mod is an immersive quest that pulls you into the shadowy world of Detective Benny Bologna, a hard-boiled detective who vanished while chasing a secret too dangerous to ignore. Featuring fully voiced audio logs, this film noir-inspired mystery lets you walk in the detective’s footsteps, uncover his fate, and confront the burning question: What are Chunks really made of?

1. HOW TO START THE MOD: 

- Visit The Rock in Akila and find a data slate note (Called "RANGERS, I NEED BACKUP") on the bar top from Detective Benny Bologna asking for help.

2. KNOWN ISSUE:  Due to a change to the Athena Tower Elevators, the player will need to do a cell/location reset on New Atlantis IF they are starting the mod with a pre-established save/character (If the player is starting a fresh new game or entering New Game + after downloading this mod, this issue will not occur). The quickest way to do this is to start in New Atlantis, then fly to Venus and wait for about 10 in-game hours. This should properly adjust the elevator for the rest of the player's playthrough (This will also work if this issue ever arises again or appears with the base game quest "Alternating Currents").

3. ITEMS ADDED:

- New Clothing: Benny's Dustwear  (This can be located in Benny's Bedroom)

- New Legendary Weapon: The Hard Boiled (Found during the quest)

- New Consumable: Benny's Codos Crater (Found during the quest)

- New Unique item: Benny's Flip Lighter - changes the visuals of the game to Black and White whenever the lighter is in the players possession (Found on Benny's office desk)

4. RECOMMENDATIONS:

- It is recommended the player has the Pickpocketing or Lockpicking skill (However, the quest can be completed without them)- This mod is designed for any player but due to a higher-level encounter, being level 20-30 is recommended for the best experience.

[]Deman445: The quest designer pitched the mod's initial creation and developed the central quest. He managed quest progression, NPC interactions, and enemy encounters. He created 16 custom NPCs, handled their design, and imported all associated conversations/interactions, including setting up scenes and dialogue trees. He also developed new gear for the player including a new outfit, weapon, and consumables. He was also responsible for integrating all aspects of the quest into the final outcome.
