The Border Regions Unlock mod removes the default limitation that restricts certain regions on planetary maps, allowing you to freely explore every corner of every world without artificial barriers. While this setting can technically be added manually to your Custom.ini
, this mod adds several additional improvements that make exploration smoother and safer:

This mod aims to expand the playable world of Starfield far beyond the default planetary borders, giving players the freedom to explore areas previously inaccessible.
With this mod installed, you can venture over 10 kilometers away from your ship while still retaining life, biomes, and environmental effects. While Points of Interest (POIs) and certain objects are not yet spawned in these extreme areas, the foundation is set for future full exploration.
The goal of this project is to eventually allow players to experience entire planets seamlessly, without artificial border limitations, creating a more immersive and expansive Starfield experience.
