Simple UI Themes

Give Stardew Valley’s menus a softer seasonal look with 36 colour themes, illustrated corners, trailing vines, and matching interface colours.

Choose gentle pinks, greens, creams, blues, and other seasonal palettes. Keep your favourite all year, choose a different look for each season, or let your theme change every in-game day.

Choose how your themes change

Fixed: Use one theme throughout the year.

Seasonal: Choose a separate preset for spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

Daily within season: Automatically rotate through themes belonging to the current season. Eligible themes are used before the rotation repeats, and today’s choice is remembered when you reload.

Choose seasonal favourites to narrow the daily rotation. If you leave a season’s favourites empty, all nine themes are included.

Want a different look today? Use Next seasonal theme or assign the optional shuffle binding. Your manual choice lasts for the current in-game day.

Preview before choosing

Open the settings through Generic Mod Config Menu and select a preset to browse its colour tiles.

Theme names follow Season - Colour - Name, making the collection easier to browse. Select a tile to preview its colours and decorations, then choose Select and save your settings to apply it.

Cancel, Escape, or controller B leaves the picker without applying that choice.

Appearance settings

Control menu colours, HUD colours, tooltip colours, and seasonal farmer backgrounds independently.

Decorations are included with menu theming. They adapt to supported panel layouts and available space, with pieces omitted where they cannot fit safely. There are no decoration-size or glow sliders.

Optional settings and shuffle shortcuts start unassigned.

Compatibility

Simple UI Themes is cosmetic and does not change item stats, inventory capacity, or game progression.

It supports standard game menus and includes layout handling for expanded inventories and adjoining panels. NPC portrait artwork is preserved, so portrait replacements remain usable.

Custom interfaces that draw their own textures or text may need additional compatibility work. Other mods that recolour the same interface can conflict.

Enable only one edition: Simple UI Themes or Simple UI Themes 2.

Installation

Generic Mod Config Menu is optional. Without it, edit the generated

config.jsonwhile the game is closed.

When updating, keep your existing

config.jsonto preserve your settings.

Languages

English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Turkish, and Hungarian. The mod follows your game’s selected language.

Please include a screenshot, your SMAPI log, the selected theme, and any mods that change the affected menu. Your resolution and UI scale are also helpful for decoration-placement issues.
