Szczodry - Escort Corvette

"Szczodry" is an aged corvette, made to protect capital ships and convoys from light craft. R&D didn't think long on this one: strap ten light plasma turrets on a chassis, power them up with multiple cheap generators, add thrusters and engines to make it agile. This approach turned out to be as effective as it is simple, earning "Szczodry" decades of use in the fleet. Hailstorm of plasma fire is a good deterrent against any ship lacking confidence in its armor. Simple design and low technological level means that these ships were pumped out by all fringe shipyards, multiplying large amounts of plasma with large numbers of their users. While slowly being replaced with new generation of latest competitors, the old timer has yet to draw its final breath. Category: Gun Platform Gun platform ships are balanced, well-equipped for fighting at medium distances. They come with reliable armor coverage and large numbers of turrets, allowing them to do easy battle, while manoeuvering around.
