tired of vanilla balance

, where most weapons are just useless in late game - this mod is for You.

This one is my 1st attempt to improve the game experience. The Mod aims to change weapon stats, such as Penetration and Damage, rest are same, as in vanilla game.

No more weak AR416 or useless AK74. Pick the weapon you like and charge straight into the battle.

Although my initial goal was to preserve the progression the developers originally intended, by reducing the huge damage gap between weapons, I ended up moving away from that idea a bit. Still, I've tried to keep each weapon’s uniqueness and behavior - including recoil and spread patterns.

I still have a plenty of ideas and balance tweaks to complete about this mod, so there will be future updates, unless I’ll be hit with unbearable laziness. =)

Anyway, for now, almost every weapon feels playable: starting with the Boomstick, ending up with different assault riffles. Also I'm planning to take a closer look at pistols. (Even though the raw changes were already done…)

The mod was tested on 1. 7 and works well.

This mod affects PlayerWeaponSettingsPrototypes.cfg , so Compatibility: with all, that do not change this file.

The rest should be tested.

Also it is safe to use this mod in a mid-game. No new game needed.

Installation:

Download the mod, extract it, then go to

Stalker2/Content/Paksand create a ~mods folder (if you don't already have it). Drop the .pak file into ~mods folder.

Congrats, now you can try it. =)

Uninstall:

Just delete file in same path.
