Quick's Accurate Warhammer 40k Galaxy

Description As a lunatic Physicist and 40k fan, I am delighted to present the 40k Galaxy, with the positions of systems of interest (Macragge, the T'au Empire, Mandragora, etc) placed as lore accurately as possible. This has been accomplished by: - Taking canonical maps of the galaxy as seen in codices, campaign maps, etc - Using the terra-galactic core distance as scaling reference for the Galactic Coordinate system using a precise software known as ImageJ - Finding other scalings and then coding to find the RA/Dec from galactic coords - Entering this into SE The goal is to have every system that has appeared on a map in there, as well as planets, notable features such as the Eye of Terror, Maelstrom, and the Cicatrix Maledictum. Starting in the Eastern Fringe, and going from there. Why? Great tool for 40k RPG campaigns, BFG campaigns, and for art. (First pic is a bad-quality segmentum drawing, second is the Damocles Gulf from T'au System) Upcoming Things To Look Forward To The galaxy is a big place, with a lot of d i s t a n c e inbetween systems. The solution? Submaps. Kindly provided by several decades of lore. Below is an incomplete list of submaps I will add/am in the process of adding (in no partiular order): Dovaris Sector (Implemented public V1) T'au Empire (Implemented Public V1) Jericho Sector/Reach (Implemented V5) Calixis Sector (especially useful for those suicidal brave individuals with a Campaign here) (Implemented V7) Ultramar Subsector (Implemented V8) Baal Scarus Sector Vigilius and that little fiddly bit around the Nachmund Gauntlet The Gothic sector in all it's 3D glory (from the BFG Rulebook) Schindelgheist and Schindlegeist. Do not confuse them. Scaling can be annoying. Fortunately, there are often contextual clues - e.g. two systems appearing on a galaxy map that also appear in a submap, actual legends, etc.
