The Milky Way Overhaul

What does this do? This addon replaces the default Milky Way with new high-quality textures and a modified model. It focuses on realism, but with some artistic liberties. The goal is to deliver a scientifically accurate and pleasing representation of what our galaxy might look like. The texture is based on real-life imagery of spiral galaxies like NGC 6744, UGC 12158, NGC 5194, with inspiration from some artistic interpretations like Stefan Payne-Wardenaar's interpretation and Pablo Carlos Budassi's map. Does this alter procedural generation? This addon doesn't change the texture responsible for the procedural generation of stars and nebulae in the Milky Way, so all of your saved locations within the galaxy should still exist (If they don't, make sure to check you don't have any other addons that might be changing the procedural generation of stars! E.g. addons that add galaxies or modify properties of existing ones). How to install? Press the subscribe button, and the installation will begin automatically. To ensure the addon works as intended, delete your cache folder located in your local AppData folder. To access it quickly, press Windows + R and type: "%LOCALAPPDATA%" and search for the Cosmographic folder (It's safe to delete it, as it regenerates after opening the game again). Remember to follow this instructions If you wish to uninstall or install a new addon update. NOTE: If the addon still doesn't work after an update, you might try unsubscribing and re-subscribing so the workshop can download the files again.
