Monster API

Monster API Monster API is a creature development and testing sandbox for Space Haven modders. It is designed to make working with native and custom Monster definitions much faster by letting you spawn, control, animate, and test creatures directly inside a loaded save instead of waiting for normal encounters or creating one-off test scenarios. Monster API integrates into the shared F8 Valkyrie Mod Menu and provides a compact creature setup panel for selecting registered Monsters by catalog entry or CID. Features Spawn friendly test creatures directly on the player ship. Spawn hostile targets for combat and behavior testing. Supports both vanilla Monsters and properly registered modded Monster definitions. Point-and-click movement for friendly test creatures. Uses Space Haven's native Monster locomotion for movement and animation timing. Friendly test creatures are prevented from automatically targeting your crew. Crew will not automatically acquire friendly test Monsters as hostile targets. Optional quick keybinds for animation and task testing. Preview all eight supported directional facings. Trigger native Melee / Attack animations. Trigger SitCry animations. Preview the Die animation. Trigger the real native death and corpse pipeline. Quickly kill test Monsters when your testing area becomes overcrowded. Runtime debug logging for creature registration and behavior troubleshooting. Quick Keybinds Quick controls are OFF by default so Monster API does not interfere with regular gameplay. Enable them from the Monster API F8 panel or toggle them at any time with F7.
