About Spire Radio

Spire Radio is a mod for easily putting together your own audio atmosphere for Slay the Spire 2.

It currently supports mp3 files that users can load into their game files, as well as zip files as easily shareable collections of audio files.

Spire Radio will play the appropriate mp3 file from your computer when you enter a room, if you have set any for the type of room encountered.

Adding A Soundtrack

Simply drag & drop the mp3 you want to play whenever you encounter the room from your file system into the games window to load it.

In combat rooms you will be given the chance of two cards when you load a file:

• []For an MP3 file you are given the choice between registering the sound as a looping sound, or a oneshot sound, where a looping sound repeats, and a oneshot plays once immediately upon entering the combat, which may be more appropriate for sound effects.[/]

  []For a ZIP file you are given the choice between loading the audio pack and not loading the audio pack. Make sure you trust the author of the zip file before accepting, as loading zip files from untrusted sources can lead to problems.[/]

depending on the choice of card you make the file will be loaded in the selected way. This card selection behavior should be a pure UI functionality, if you find it changes gameplay, please report this to me.

Random Variants for Room Sounds

To add variants to randomly choose between for a room, name your file <ROOM_ID>.var<VariantName>.mp3 or  <ROOM_ID>.var<VariantName>.oneshot.mp3, when the room is entered, a random variant, or the base file will be chosen.

Adding a sound for low HP

You can configure a low HP reminder, for further information check the section "Navigating the file structure"

Create sound files in your audio packs folder named HP_<VALUE|PERCENT>_.mp3

Examples:

HP_VALUE_40.mp3 -> Will play while HP value is lower or equal to 40

HP_VALUE_20.oneshot.mp3 -> Will play once when HP drop below 21

HP_PERCENT_10.mp3 -> Will play while HP is lower or equal to 10% of max hp

HP_PERCENT_30.oneshot.mp3 -> Will play once when HP drops to under 31% of max hp

Installation

To install the mod make sure to first install BaseLib for STS2, it is available at https://github.com/Alchyr/BaseLib-StS2/tree/master and at https://www.nexusmods.com/slaythespire2/mods/103

Then install this mod in much the same fashion, put the SpireRadio folder from the zip file you download into your Slay The Spire 2/mods folder (create the folder if it does not exi
