Main-menu backgrounds, BGM, and startup titles for Slay the Spire 2 v0. 2. 1-beta

Replaces the Slay the Spire 2 main menu with Chaos Zero Nightmare backgrounds, music, and startup titles - and lets you use your own images as menu backgrounds. Gameplay and balance stay vanilla.

  Quick Facts

  • []Menu backgrounds: the official CZN login CG, eight official illustration backgrounds, and nine official videos, including two promotional videos, played full-screen behind the menu.[/]

    []Menu BGM: fourteen official CZN tracks, selectable independently, with a Mod-only volume slider.[/]

    []Your own images: drop images into the Mod folder, name them in-game, and pair each one with a BGM.[/]

    []Startup title: a short CZN x STS2 title with a random Japanese title voice from your installed CZN character skins, either official promotional video, the original STS2 logo animation, or nothing at all.[/]

    []Character lobbies: installed CZN character skins automatically contribute their live lobby scene as an extra background.[/]

    []Standalone: no character skin is required and none is hard-depended on. Skins only add extra backgrounds and title voices.[/]

    []Multiplayer friendly: this is a menu-only Mod; other players are unaffected.[/]

    []Menu text in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.[/]

    []No gameplay, card, relic, power, damage, or balance changes.[/]

    • []Adds a default-on CZN Logo switch to CznMainMenu's own right-side control panel.[/]

      []The switch only shows or hides CznMainMenu's lower-left title lockup on custom CZN or imported backgrounds.[/]

      Installation

      • []Open your Slay the Spire 2 game folder.[/]

        []Create a mods folder if it does not already exist.[/]

        []Extract CznMainMenu into that mods folder.[/]

        []Launch Slay the Spire 2 with mods enabled.[/]

        Using Your Own Images

        • []Open the drawer on the right side of the main menu, then the Background tab.[/]

          []Press + Add custom background, then Open folder.[/]

          []Put PNG / JPG / WEBP / BMP files in the folder that opens.[/]

          []Back in the game, pick the file, type a name, choose its BGM, and press Save.[/]

          []Custom entries can be edited or removed later. Removing an entry never deletes your image file.[/]

          Images you import stay on your own PC. They are never packaged, uploaded, or redistributed by this Mod.

          Settings

          • []All options live in the drawer on the right side of the main menu. No separate ModConfig installation is required.[/]

            []Use CZN Logo to show or hide CznMainMenu's lower-left title lockup on custom backgrounds. This setting is enabled by default.[/]

            []Selections apply immediately and persist to

            user://CznModConfig/CznMainMenu/settings.cfg.[/]

            []Reset uses a two-press confirmation and restores every Mod setting.[/]

            []Escape or controller Cancel closes the drawer; controller focus connects the STS2 menu, the handle, and every drawer control.[/]

            Notes

            []The download is large because the official menu videos are included; expect roughly 260 MB of disk use.[/]

            []Video backgrounds decode continuously while the menu is open. If the menu feels heavy on a low-end PC, use the CZN login CG, one of your own images, or the STS2 background instead.[/]
