Better Mod Menu Fix (Public-Beta)

Better Mod Menu is a great mod manager. This adds two things it never had, and repairs it on the current public-beta build - without touching a single one of its files.

What it adds

• []See where every mod came from. Each row carries a Steam or folder icon, so you can tell a Workshop subscription from something in your own mods folder at a glance. It dims along with the row when a mod is disabled.[/]

  []Your alias becomes the mod's name. Give a mod an alias and the list shows it instead of the name its author chose. Hover the row for the real one. Nothing is written to the mod's own files, and the details panel still shows the real name.[/]

  What it fixes

  • []The mod details panel works again. Selecting a mod no longer errors, and the Config and Alias / Notes buttons are back where they belong.[/]

    []The rest of the menu finishes loading. The profile bar, group bar and search bar used to stop setting up partway through. They no longer do.[/]

    []The profile row stays out of the way. It used to be drawn straight over the game's own Make Mods and Get Mods buttons. It now sits above the mod list, and those buttons are clickable again.[/]

    []Row controls stay clear of the input prompt. On a narrow mod list, a row's buttons could end up underneath the controller or keyboard glyph. They no longer overlap it.[/]

    How it works

    Better Mod Menu is left exactly as its author shipped it. This mod patches its behaviour from outside at runtime, so there is nothing to overwrite, nothing to reinstall, and nothing to undo later.

    Before you play

    You need Better Mod Menu 1. 1. 1 or newer installed and enabled as well. This is a companion for that mod, not a replacement for it - on its own it does nothing.
