📋 About This Mod

AI Upscaled textures for all of Skyrim's vanilla creatures, using Chainner with the Skyrim Misc. model by Deorder. Includes upscales of 2 to 4 times the original texture sizes.

The trained model is based on ESRGAN and utilizes the CC0 Creative Commons license.

There are 2 versions: one that's upscaled to 2 times the original resolution and one that's 4 times.

The 2x version is very close in detail to the 4x version, and you'll most likely only notice a difference in smaller creatures like chickens. The 2x version is also 80% smaller in size than the 4x version.

This mod will most certainly have a big performance impact, therefore a graphics card with 8gb - 12gb of VRAM is recommended. Testing it with only 4gb of VRAM gave me results of 40-55 fps.

Installation

Use your favorite mod manager or just drag and drop the extracted textures folder into your Skyrim's Data folder.

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

AI upscaled textures for all non-DLC armor in Fallout 4, with 2x and 4x resolution options. A lightweight, ESP-free mod that enhances visual fidelity without adding plugins. Ideal for players seeking improved armor detail without gameplay changes.

✨ Key Features

AI upscaled textures for all armor except DLC armor
Includes both 2x and 4x resolution options
No ESP plugin required

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solid community backing with 113 endorsements and nearly 6k downloads
  • No ESP means it's safe to add or remove without breaking saves
  • 2x and 4x options let you balance visual quality against performance

⚠️ Cons

  • DLC armor is not covered, so you'll see a mix of upscaled and vanilla textures
  • AI upscaling can sometimes introduce artifacts or blurriness on certain materials
  • Potential conflicts with other texture mods that alter the same armor files
🎯 Is This For You?
For Fallout 4 players who want sharper armor textures without the hassle of plugin management. If you're a completionist who wants every piece of gear to look crisp, this is a quick win. Skip if you're using DLC armor heavily or prefer hand-crafted retextures over AI upscaling.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since there's no ESP, you can install this with any mod manager or manually drop it into your Data folder.
  • If you're using other texture mods, load this one after them to ensure it takes priority.
  • Try the 2x version first if you're on a lower-end system; 4x can hit VRAM harder.
