📋 About This Mod
As originally implemented, the Ragged Trousers spontaneously manifest a tunic when worn by female characters. I have a hazy (and quite possibly incorrect) memory of an old version of CBBE and/or Outfit Studio which remedied this, offering to build a mesh more on par with its male counterpart. Alas, I don't know what happened to it, and so I've resolved to make my own version, doubling as an opportunity to learn Outfit Studio.
The pre-built meshes included with this package conform to the shape of the stock CBBE Vanilla preset, but you'll probably want to build your own meshes with the included BodySlide files (look for "Unisex Ragged Trousers"). For those of you who use mods to turn Skyrim into that kind of fantasy game, a version of the outfit with physics is available, and a BodySlide zap is built in to allow you to go completely commando (I'll judge you, but that doesn't mean I'll try to stop you).
I've also made equivalent changes to the bloody version of the trousers worn by the thralls in Castle Volkihar - they'll defer to the same mesh, but use the blood-spattered texture variant (you'd think a clan of "refined" vampires like the Volkihar wouldn't be such messy eaters).
A small plugin is needed to change the meshes used by the outfit. As it only makes changes to the armor add-on records, and not the base armor data, this plugin is compatible with WACCF and other mods that make non-visual changes to the Ragged Trousers without the need for patching.
Particular thanks to Kreiste for saving me a lot of wheel reinvention for v1. 1. 0 - the Ragged Trousers from HIMBO had just the mesh seam fix I needed.
