Uthgerd was always one of my favorites and is one of the more memorable companion characters in Skyrim, a real product of Nord culture: proud, stubborn, and constantly trying to prove her strength. She has earned the nickname The Unbroken because she prides herself on never being defeated in spirit, even after suffering a major disgrace.

She is not simply a mercenary looking for work, but is someone who has been denied the identity she wanted most. Her resentment and pride didn't killed her spirit, and she has the determination to show that she is still worthy as a warrior

My version of Uthgerd was crafted to suit my game and storytelling. She has a rough background and embodies a tough, grumpy, and strong mature woman. I aimed to capture her appropriate age, as portrayed in vanilla Skyrim, while enhancing her powerful presence. She’s tall, even for a Nord, and stronger in build

One of my inspirations for her design was Brienne of Tarth from A Song of Ice and Fire (the books, of course) by George R. R. Martin.

I wanted to avoid the "super young and hot" trope or exaggerated, fetishized muscular builds with unrealistic proportions and it's big bazoongas. Instead, she looks like a true warrior, capable of wielding the armor and weapons she uses with confidence. Her appearance reflects her character and story — a believable, formidable nord woman who commands respect and look at you as an equal.

My goal is always to prioritize realism for the npcs and craft protagonists who stand on their own, not just ornamental figures with oversized swords eagerly waiting to follow the Dragonborn around, as if the Dragonborn was the only person in Tamriel capable of achieving greatness and everyone else was born only to serve them, without past, without personality or their own glory.
