📋 About This Mod
Vitruvia Skin Texture Overhaul for Males is one of the most beautiful skins for humanoid men of Skyrim, along with Tempered Skins for Males which offers useful fixes alongside beauty. They both provide flexible options and quality visuals.
However, black body hair on Vitruvia skin, which is baked into the texture, can be somewhat of an eyesore, especially for those who are not fond of any body hair. Also, if your character's (or NPC's) hair color is anything other than black, the mismatch is too obvious to ignore.
This mod is my attempt at fixing the lovely Vitruvia by trimming the body hair and making it less prominent (achieved by combining with Tempered Skins for Males).
These are also instructions for compatibility between Vitruvia and Tempered Skins for Males, so you could have the best of both worlds.
Useful tips:
-
[]If there is a neck seam, use the texture blankdetailmap.dds from Tempered Skins for Males, by hiding or removing this texture from Vitruvia files (textures/ actors/ character/ male/ blankdetailmap.dds). Female body textures use this same texture as well, so if you notice neck seams on female bodies, give the female version priority. This particular texture is very tricky, unfortunately.

]This texture adaptation for SOS Full is compatible with HIMBO for SOS Full. Just make sure to place HIMBO after all these in your load order. Also, make sure to backup all your male body/hands/feet meshes before you build your HIMBO body, because the built body will deep-copy into your existing body meshes. Explanation: If you ever decide to uninstall HIMBO, its preset will remain in your existing body meshes and it will look like you still have it installed - the body will still have the HIMBO shape of the preset you previously made. You can fix this by re-installing the body you had before, or replacing the meshes with backups you made beforehand. This is not the author's fault, this is what BodySlide does when building bodies (we don't notice this with females because we never revert to a body without sliders). Also make sure that your BodySlide files for male body are removed/deactivated. - Anniversary Edition users - if you're using SOS Full, you can go to SOS AE to update your schlong. Also keep up with the changes and updates, there's useful info in the forum section for any issues that might occur with SOS AE.
My mods that already use this adjusted mix-and-match as the base are Enhanced Belrand and High Poly Kaidan. You can visit their pages and see how the skin looks for reference.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Clean look without the black body hair – exactly what some of us wanted
- 4K textures keep things sharp, no blurry mess
- Compatibility notes for Tempered Skins are a nice touch, saves you the headache
⚠️ Cons
- Only 278 endorsements – not a huge community behind it, so support might be thin
- Last updated in January 2022 – could be outdated for newer game versions
- Compatibility with other body mods beyond Tempered Skins is unclear – you might run into conflicts
For Skyrim players who like Vitruvia's skin textures but hate the black body hair. If you're using SOS Light or Full and want a clean 4K look, this is for you. Skip if you're fine with the original hair or use a different body mod.
