📋 About This Mod

Details

This mod is both bugfix and cut content. Vanilla had ambient sound loop for tavern interiors and exteriors where you can hear the damped talking of NPCs. Alas the volume is reduced by so much you will never hear it ingame, it's completely inaudible, so I fixed it by raising the volume levels and also adding in the two Inns that were missing. Its possible that bethesda just forgot about this as it was 90% done, but it's more likely they scraped it because the Inns never reach the crowd that would fit to the background ambiance crowd.

The ambiance sound plays from 8PM to 2AM but in vanilla Inns are so empty it sounds weird hearing people talking in background when only two people are there. I would really recommend you use this with an AI Overhaul, doesn't matter which as long as you get more than 5 people into the tavern from 8pm to 2am. I wouldn't want to miss it now though as standing in front of an Inn and actually hearing the crowd inside mumbling really adds to the immersion.

Bugs

I encountered a bug were you don't hear the exterior ambiance if you wait in front of the inn. You have to pass a loading zone. Not sure how to fix that yet, but I'm pretty sure that's a bug that affects every sound marker, not just these.

But isn't this in vanilla already?

- yes, but actually no

  • []Propably incompatible with Sounds of Skyrim but I'm not sure
    • []Bethesda
