Stealing Not Browsing - A Pickpocket Mod

Description:

Adds a skilllevel scaling timer to pickpocketing, so you can't take forever to browse through the inventory like you're shopping.

Also integrates some potions to expand the timer.

You can change the minimum time and the maximum time in the MCM as well as a modifier that's being used to calculate the pickpocket time.

The time gets calculated like this:

Pickpocket skill level / modifier

so for example if your skill is at level 50 and the modifier is set to 5, you've got 10 seconds before it kicks you out of the inventory

The vanilla 'fortify pickpocket' potions add extra time via keywords and the help of Keyword Item Distributor

The default settings of the mod give you between 5 and 20 seconds time to pickpocket an NPC, which I think is more than enough time to steal stuff.

The mod goes well with my Timed Lockpicking mod

Q: but why?

A: Because pickpocket has no downsides and you can basically spend hours in the inventory without any consequences

Q: can i adjust the time?

A: yes, there's a MCM to adjust the max time and the min time as well as a modifier used to calc the time you get

Q: Pickpocketing is still easy!

A: You can lower the min and the max time, but it will never be harder, you just need to be faster

the mod is esl flagged but the header version is 1. 71 so you need Backported Extended ESL Support (BEES) on older skyrim SE versions and Skyrim VR ESL Support  on skyrim VR

the mod itself works on every game version the required mods support.

if the game updates and the requirement does not, my mod will stop working as well and there's nothing I can do about that.

Keyword Item Distributor - optional but it is used to (1) add time increase keywords to vanilla potions and (2) add stress increase when you fail if you have JaySerpa's Stress and Fear installed

Installing:

Safe to install at any time.

Make sure to not be sneaking and looking at an NPC when you disable the mod. To be extra safe, I would advise you wait until eventual timer increase potions ran out.

It's a scripted mod, so I won't advise to uninstall it mid-game, but if you know how you can do that, it's safe to do so.
