📋 About This Mod
Alright, boys and girls, it is finally here - the Skyrim Road Reconstruction Project, or SRRP (because abbreviations are cool and make things seem complex). The SRRP is an ongoing, long-term project of mine to manually, painstakingly, reposition Skyrim's vanilla roads... one... by... one. That is over 5000 road objects. As is customary with my mods, SRRP has been designed with maximum compatibility in mind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
[]Massively improves blending of roads with landscape
[
]Much less awkward 'road bumps' with protruding landscape. Less ambient occlusion issues[]ESL-flagged
[]Maximizes compatibility by making minimal adjustments to vanilla objects and loading before everything else. This avoid the need for most patches. No landscape edits. Should honestly be mandatory in every load order except for complete road overhauls (Northern Roads / Real Dirt Roads) because its just vanilla but better.
Installation & Load Order
-
[]Blended Roads or any other 3d road meshes is a soft requirement (really blended, unblended etc are all fine)
[
]Load SRRP as early as possible in your load order[]Load after only vanilla masters and USSEP (if using)
[]Load before everything else including SLaWF + LFFGM (if using).
Compatibility
SRRP is designed to compatible with virtually everything if loaded at the top of your load order. Some notes though:
-
[]Patch: Skyrim Landscape and Water Fixes - provides its own patch for SRRP. Not sure what it does, perhaps fixing some plants that end up floating as I have lowered road meshes.
[
]Redundant: Blended Roads less bumpiness - Base Object Swapper - Redundant as it is a simpler, cruder, solution to manual adjustment of individual meshes. Worth a shoutout for being the go-to solution before SRRP though.[]Redundant: Road Chunk Remover - Redundant but can be used together if you for some reason want to get rid off them.
[]Redundant: Northern Roads & Real Dirt Roads - To be accurate - SRRP is redundant with these amazing overhauls. Unless some vanilla roads remain in one of them?
- Load order note: Vanilla Landscape Corrections - VLC - If you load SRRP before VLC, you should get both combined (my adjustments in non-snowy areas, snowy roads in snowy areas. A simple patch would be needed for adjusted snowy areas, however).

⚠️ Cons
- May conflict with other mods that alter road meshes or landscape
