ShowRaceMenu - NG

ShowRaceMenu - NG has one simple goal: to finish what I started in 2012 with ShowRaceMenu Alternative, namely fixing all issues related to stats, attributes, levels, and appearance when the race change interface is used.

Unlike ShowRaceMenu Alternative, which requires the use of a spell to function and relies on Papyrus functions that are less flexible than native integration, ShowRaceMenu - NG is completely standalone. It does not require a plugin and runs in sync with the character creation menu. It also includes fixes that were impossible to implement in ShowRaceMenu Alternative, which are detailed below.

Please note that, unlike ShowRaceMenu Alternative, ShowRaceMenu - NG does not provide a spell or a dedicated cell. This version focuses entirely on correcting stats and other variables altered by the character creation menu.

- What is the problem, and what exactly does the mod do?

'ShowRaceMenu' is a console command (also used by certain mods) that opens the character creation menu. When you change your character's race here, the game has some problems: it resets your skills and your Health, Magicka, and Stamina to base values, and your main level experience can end up incorrect. The legendary levels of skills are also lost.

There is also another issue: if you change race and then use the Vampire Lord or Werewolf transformation, your character can revert to the wrong race after transforming back.

ShowRaceMenu NG fixes all of this. It ensures your skills, level, and experience are set correctly whenever the race menu is used and prevents race errors after beast transformations, all without requiring extra scripts or plugins.

This mod requires Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64) (any version) and Address Library for SKSE Plugins to function.

The mod can be installed like any other mod via a mod manager or manually.

Manual Installation :

1. Download the latest version of the mod.

2. Open the archive using 7zip or Winrar.

3. Place the entire contents of the archive into the "Data" folder of your game.

(Default: C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data)

4. Launch Skyrim and envoy!
