Roleplaying in Skyrim - Races

INTRODUCTION

RoleRim Races increases the uniqueness of the vanilla races with a focus on biological and physiological differentiation, rather than a growing list of powers and abilities. This mod expands concepts already present in vanilla, such as resistances and skill aptitudes, with some utilization of other core mechanics such as the perk system and spell knowledge.

Some popular race overhauls can be used with this, and it was designed with that in mind, hence the lack of once-a-day powers reserved for only the PC, and no additional abilities outside of a few that are necessary for the goal (for example Argonian water breathing and Khajiit night vision).

This is intended to be a baseline for the RoleRim Character mod series. The subrace component has been moved to a separate mod (Lineages). For those that do not share my vision fully on race differentiation, this was done to provide more modularity. Some things cannot be done effectively without changing Race Forms, which results in compatibility concerns - anything of this nature will be included here. This way - Lineages will have no issues working with this, or any other race or race overhaul mod.

FEATURES

[]Resistances are reworked and expanded, incorporating weaknesses, to include survival, physical, and magical sources.[/]

[]Aptitudes provide a +15, +10, and +5 to skill levels of primary, secondary, and tertiary skills, which are also 30%, 20%, and 10% more effective.[/]

[]Characteristics such as height, HMS, regeneration, and unarmed reach and damage are customized to balance lore, realism, and differentiation.[/]

[]Expertise are perks automatically granted at specific character levels.[/]

[]Specialties include starting spells and other biological type advantages (such as Argonian waterbreathing and Khajiit night vision).[/]

[]Configurable: Each of the five points above can be toggled on or off. This will affect the player, and NPCs.[/]

[]NPC Integration: NPCs are included in all of the above.[/]
