📋 About This Mod
Reusable Corpses for Necromancy - No Ash Piles
Features:
- Replaces the script ReanimateAshPile.pex with a mostly empty version so that Raised Corpses are no longer turned into Ash Piles upon expiration, thus allowing them to be reused. Should be compatible with everything except mods that edit that script.
Thank you Qudix for informing me of papyrus log errors from using a previously blank script, and for providing a new script that pretty much makes this his mod now since I've basically done nothing lol.

Reusable Corpses for Necromancy removes ash piles from Skyrim's necromancy, letting you re-raise the same corpse repeatedly. A lightweight, script-free mod with no ESP, compatible with most setups. Ideal for necromancer builds tired of losing bodies after one use.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 1,811 endorsements and over 125k downloads.
- No ESP means it's a safe, lightweight addition to any load order.
- Directly improves necromancer gameplay by removing a major annoyance.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2020, so it may not be tested with the latest Skyrim versions or mods.
- No ESP could mean it relies on base game mechanics that might conflict with other necromancy overhauls.
- Limited scope: only affects ash piles, so players wanting deeper necromancy changes should look elsewhere.
For Skyrim players who love necromancer builds but hate losing corpses to ash piles. If you're tired of re-finding bodies or want a more sustainable undead army, this is a must-have. Skip if you want major necromancy overhauls or play without magic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since there's no ESP, you can drop it into your Data folder or use a mod manager; load order doesn't matter.
- Pair with mods like Ordinator or Apocalypse for a more robust necromancer experience.
- If you use a mod that changes how corpses work, test early to ensure no conflicts.
